Hand crafted in Seattle USA, the KD Platinum is ushering in a new age of performance into slalom skiing.
For years the Platinum has become a household name, now with the addition of Corey Vaughn to the KD Tournament team the KD Platinum ‘CV’ Edition is set to catapult more skiers to the top of the podium than ever before.
Respected in the slalom community, Corey noted that too many companies are building skis for 32-36mph market and since coming on board is steering KD to tailor his signature model to a true 34-36mph skier that is consistently skiing into competition line lengths.
The ‘CV’ Edition Platinum uses premium components like the ‘Viper 2.0’ adjustable fin and modern materials to perfect the already present features engineered into the mold like the torsional top deck spine that creates a dampening effect by reducing the torque the ski feels under heavy load.
Corey cited the Platinum’s variable side wall thickness as key to unlocking the cross-course speed needed get higher on the boat.
